Term Time Only or Year-Round Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and enthusiastic Childcare Deputy Manager to join a thriving before and after-school childcare provision. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking to take on a leadership position within a fun, engaging, and child-focused environment. Working closely with the Club Manager, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the club, support staff, and create a safe and stimulating setting where children can relax, play, and thrive outside of the school day. Whether you're looking for a term-time only position or would prefer to work additional hours during the school holidays, this role offers flexibility and excellent opportunities for professional development.

Term Time Only

  • 18.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • 2:45pm – 6:30pm
  • Term-time hours as above
  • Working hours between 8:15am – 5:45pm

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience working within a childcare, wraparound care, afterschool club, nursery, or school setting
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to support and motivate colleagues
  • Experience working with children in a group setting

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Club Manager with the day-to-day running of the club
  • Help lead a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children
  • Plan and deliver fun activities, games, and experiences
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, schools, and staff
  • Support staff supervision and daily organisation
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and club policies are followed
  • Assist with administration, record keeping, and operational tasks
  • Step into leadership responsibilities when required
