About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Domestic Abuse Caseworker to provide trauma-informed support and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse across outreach and refuge services. The role will focus on helping survivors improve their safety, wellbeing and independence through effective case management, risk assessment, safety planning and partnership working.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse
- Manage a caseload and complete comprehensive risk assessments and safety plans
- Support survivors to identify and achieve positive outcomes around safety, wellbeing and independence
- Work closely with partner agencies to coordinate effective and holistic support
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
- Work across outreach and refuge services as required
- Carry out communal visits and support the effective running of shared spaces
- Participate in team interviews and scenario-based assessments where required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse
- Experience in refuge, outreach or domestic abuse services
- Strong case management and risk assessment experience
- Knowledge of safeguarding and safety planning
- Experience delivering trauma-informed support and advocacy
- Ability to work effectively with partner agencies and other professionals
- A relevant qualification in social care or a related field is desirable
- Ability to drive for work-related communal visits
