Key responsibilities will include:
Assist the hair tutor with the delivery of practical and theoretical lessons, ensuring that all learners are engaged and participating actively.
Provide one-on-one assistance to students who need extra help or work with small groups to facilitate understanding of hair concepts and techniques.
Help set up tools, materials, and equipment for practical sessions, ensuring everything is safe and ready for use.
Monitor students during practical activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and assisting with risk assessments.
Assist with maintaining student records, tracking attendance, and providing feedback on student performance to the tutor.
Motivate and support students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where all learners feel safe and encouraged to progress.
Work collaboratively to accommodate students with special educational needs and disabilities, adapting tasks where necessary and ensuring accessibility.
Work to establish supportive relationships with learners, parents and carers in order to facilitate effective communication and partnership
Support learners to develop emotional and physical resilience to enable them to make progress towards their career and life goals
Being aware of confidential information linked to learner/home and personal situations and to adhere to Safeguarding and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures
To support with the learner Behaviour Management Policy and to be a good role model for learners and families
Support with preparation of folders for external moderation
