We are looking for a dynamic and driven Graduate Structural Engineer to join our busy and growing organisation in Telford. You

will lead the development of concept and detailed structural schemes, working closely with Sales and Design teams and will be

involved in exciting product testing and the interpretation of results. The Graduate Structural Engineer will contribute to the

design and development of structural schemes, with particular focus on cold-formed steel structures. To offer support in all

stages of design from concept through to detailed engineering, whilst also participating in product testing and the development of

engineering software tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver concept and detailed structural solutions for complex storage schemes in all major Whittan product lines, ensuring designs are safe, stable, and efficient
  • Perform structural analysis and design calculations in accordance with SEMA 2020, EN 15512 and other relevant storage industry standards
  • Clearly present and explain structural design to internal and external stakeholders, in writing, verbally, and using design sketches
  • Present and explain your calculations with confidence
  • Support and participate in product testing, including setup, monitoring, data collection, and analysis
  • Play a key role in creating and developing software to streamline and standardise the calculation processes.
  • Lead the development of concept and detailed structural schemes
  • Hands on experience with product testing

Required experience/skills/qualifications:

  • Graduate with MEng/BEng/BSc or equivalent in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of steelwork design codes
  • Proficient user of CAD
