Our facilities Catering Team play an essential role within the trust, responsible predominantly for our commercial outlets and supporting the patient meal delivery service to our hospital sites. We are recruiting a Facilities Catering Supervisor (Retail) at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford and looking for individuals who share our passion and drive to ensure that our retail outlets provide our staff, patients and visitors with a quality customer service experience.

We are looking for a flexible enthusiastic individual who can bring innovation, drive and leadership to our catering team. This is a full time 37.5 hour post to include a varied shift pattern which will also include alternate weekends giving one weekday as day off.

Working within the catering department, you can expect:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead on our commercial outlets to drive income, innovation and new menu planning for all staff, visitors and patients.
  • Help manage our food safety system day to day.
  • Keep kitchen and retail areas clean and safe by following hygiene rules.
  • Work with other team members to make sure meals are served on time and to the right people.
  • Talk politely with patients, staff and visitors and help with any questions or problems.
  • Follow training and safety rules to do the job well and keep everyone safe.
  • Supervise staff LMS internal statutory training & yearly staff talent conversations.
