About The Really NEET Project

The Really NEET Project provides alternative education for young people aged 16-24 who have struggled to engage with mainstream education.

Working alongside Local Authorities, we support young people to rebuild confidence, develop resilience and gain the qualifications, employability skills and personal development they need to move positively into further education, employment and independent living.

Everything we do is built around positive relationships.

We understand that many of our learners have experienced significant challenges in education and life.

That's why we create safe, supportive environments where young people feel respected, understood and empowered to succeed.

At the heart of our approach is our Change Curriculum, which combines personal and social development, employability and life skills to help young people overcome barriers, build confidence and create positive futures.

As we continue to support more young people across our Midlands provision, we're looking for an exceptional Change Tutor to join our Telford team.

Based in an industrial park in the east of Telford.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver our Change Curriculum, supporting young people aged 16-24 to develop the confidence, resilience, personal and employability skills they need to move into further education, training, employment and independent living.

You'll work with learners who may have experienced SEND, EHCPs, challenging behaviours, substance misuse, disrupted education or involvement with the criminal justice system.

Every learner has their own story, strengths and barriers, so no two days are ever the same.

More than anything, we're looking for someone who understands that meaningful progress starts with trust.

You'll create engaging learning experiences, encourage young people to believe in themselves and support them to develop the confidence, resilience and practical skills needed for education, employment and everyday life.

Alongside classroom delivery, you'll become a trusted role model, advocate and mentor, helping learners feel safe, valued and capable of achieving more than they thought possible.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Deliver The Really NEET Project's Change Curriculum, creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences for young people aged 16–24.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, encouraging confidence, resilience and personal development.
  • Support learners to achieve positive outcomes in Personal & Social Development, Employability and life skills.
  • Build trusted relationships that motivate and engage young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement, maintaining accurate records and using data to inform support.
  • Prepare and support learners through assessments and examinations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Teaching, Learning and Assessment Lead and wider team to deliver high-quality provision.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, learner reviews and transitions.
  • Ensure teaching consistently meets OFSTED Good and Outstanding standards.
  • Occasionally support learner transport, including pick-ups and drop-offs where required.
  • Participate in team meetings, CPD and wider Really NEET Project activities.

We're looking for someone who

  • Has experience working with young people aged 16-24.
  • Understands the challenges faced by young people with SEND, EHCPs and additional barriers to education.
  • Builds trust and positive relationships quickly.
  • Is calm, resilient and able to confidently manage challenging situations.
  • Believes relationships come before results.
  • Is passionate about helping young people achieve positive outcomes.
  • Can work collaboratively within a supportive team.
  • Holds a full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Whilst teaching qualifications are welcomed, we're equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate the right experience, values and ability to build meaningful relationships.

  • The chance to make a lasting difference within an organisation committed to helping every young person achieve their potential.
  • Please Note

This is a full‑time, site‑based role located in Telford.
