The role

  • Installation of network infrastructure, including external underground/overhead cabling, internal cable installation, and supporting infrastructure (e. g. splices, fibre terminals, patch panels, cabinets) as well as installation of high-capacity radio links, working from a MEWP (Cherry-picker) or on roof-tops.
  • Take a lead role in installation activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, ensuring H&S standards are upheld, and works are completed efficiently, to an excellent standard.
  • Complete customer premise surveys (business and residential) and associated planned route documentation and job packs to ensure successful completion of works.
  • Perform underground duct surveys and route proving based on existing duct network plans, rode & roping activities.

Ensure our GIS system is kept up-to-date based on surveys and installation activities.

  • Report whereabouts, progress, defects, and blockages as required.
  • Assist with installation/maintenance projects within our datacentre/network facilities.
  • The role will involve some out of normal hours working.
