Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00 - Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is required to support operational requirements, including occasional early starts, late finishes and some weekend working to support planned maintenance, project works and business needs.

Salary: Up to £57000 per annum plus our Sodexo employee benefits package.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Services Supervisor to join our engineering team in a prestigious corporate office environment in Central London. This is a Working Supervisor position. You'll spend the majority of your time carrying out planned and reactive maintenance while supervising the day-to-day activities of a small engineering team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is not a desk-based management role.

About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will lead by example, providing technical support, coordinating workloads and maintaining engineering standards across the site. You’ll also deputise for the Technical Services Manager when required and play a key role in ensuring excellent service delivery for our client.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across building services.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs within your technical competency.
  • Supervise and support engineers and specialist contractors on site.
  • Allocate daily work and help prioritise maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely using Safe Systems of Work, including RAMS and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
  • Monitor the quality of engineering work and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Support minor works and like-for-like asset replacements.
  • Build positive relationships with the client, building occupiers and contractors.
  • Support the development and training of team members.
  • Participate in emergency response and out-of-hours support where required.
  • Deputise for the Technical Services Manager during periods of absence.

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who is technically strong, enjoys being hands-on and is confident supervising others while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day engineering activities.

You will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least five years' experience within a building services maintenance environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills across commercial building services.
  • Experience supervising engineers or leading small maintenance teams.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety legislation, permit systems and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Experience using CAFM or Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure.
