Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant Qualification NVQ
  • Paediatric First Aid trained (desirable)
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (desirable)

Experience:

  • Experience working in a primary school setting
  • Experience working with SENDCo and delivering intervention
  • Experience of working with children who have cognition and learning needs

Further details about the role:

St David’s CofE Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our school team and support pupil learning in class. This TA will also be required to work MDSA hours during the week to supervise pupils during lunchtimes.

The post is offered as a salary of Grade 3 Point 5-6 (depending on the candidate) for the Teaching Assistant hours, and Grade 2 Point 3 for the MDSA hours, both on a permanent basis. This is a part-time post for 21 hours 40 minutes (21.66 hours) per week in total. 16 hours 40 minutes will be for the Teaching Assistant role. 5 hours will be for the MDSA role. This post will begin as soon as possible in September, subject to completion of safer recruitment checks.
