We are hiring for a Teacher of Chemistry to provide teaching of the highest quality and participate significantly in the academic and pastoral work of the curriculum area and to the discussion of and adherence to policy and practice.

Main Purpose of the Role:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning across our Medical & Life Sciences department, engaging students from Level 1 to Level 4.
  • Support the academic and pastoral development of learners, ensuring they are ready to learn and thrive.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, and the wider life of the College.
  • Play an active role in fulfilling the College's mission: "To provide a transformative education that empowers learners and serves our community and employers."

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
  • Provide academic guidance and pastoral support to help every learner succeed.
  • Make effective use of digital platforms (e.g. Teams, Google Classroom) and emerging tools such as AI to enhance student learning and feedback.
  • Participate in curriculum development, open events, interviews, and student induction activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous improvement.
  • Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health and safety policies.
