The role
We are exclusively in partnership with a well-established business near Tarleton and recruiting Picking & Sorting Operatives for the harvesting season.
These are great opportunities for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in fast-paced agricultural environments.
These roles are to assist with end-to-end grading of fresh produce and in addition to the existing workforce.
They involve working in a covered outdoor setting on grading machinery.
If you enjoy physical, hands-on work in a team-focused environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.
- Monday to Wednesday, 7:00am – 6:00pm (3 x 11-hour shifts)
- Thursday to Saturday, 7:00am – 6:00pm (3 x 11-hour shifts)
Key responsibilities
- Sorting raw produce to remove defective or unsuitable items.
- Operating grading machinery and maintaining quality standards.
- Removing soil, debris, stones and foreign materials from produce.
- Monitoring product quality before the next grading stage.
- Assisting with general cleaning and maintenance.
- Following all health and safety regulations.
- Rotating between work areas for a varied workload.
