Transport Administrator to join our client's busy logistics team based in Tamworth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who is looking to develop their career within the transport and logistics industry.
You will support the transport and fleet teams by managing compliance records, vehicle administration, and driver documentation.
Job Role
As a Transport Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily transport operations by maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance processes, and assisting with fleet administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Tachograph & Driver Administration
- Monitoring tachograph records and tracking driver infringements
- Investigating missing mileage and compliance issues
- Completing driver licence checks using transport systems such as Tacho Master
- Maintaining accurate driver records and documentation
- Fleet Maintenance Support
- Logging vehicle defects and maintenance requirements
- Liaising with service providers regarding repairs and servicing
- Ensuring vehicle records are updated and maintained
- Supporting compliance checks to ensure vehicles remain safe and roadworthy
- Transport Support & Communication
- Responding to internal transport queries
- Updating van loading sheets and transport records
- Providing delivery updates to customers when required
- Supporting drivers and transport management with daily requirements
- Compliance & Administration
- Ensuring records are correctly filed and archived
- Checking and validating transport invoices
- Updating company trackers and reports
- Working Hours
- Monday - Friday
- 09:30 - 18:00
- Pay
- £13.90 per hour
What We're Looking For
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office
- Transport, logistics, or fleet administration experience would be advantageous
