SEN Teacher Job - Tamworth, Staffordshire

Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting a passionate SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and well-led specialist school in Tamworth on a long-term temp-to-perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive setting that provides education for children and young people aged 5-18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) and other complex learning needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN and SEMH.
  • Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom where every pupil can thrive.
  • Support pupils' academic progress alongside their social, emotional and personal development.
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistent routines and relationship-based practice.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider school team to ensure every pupil receives the support they need.
  • Monitor progress, write reports and contribute to reviews and EHCP outcomes.
  • Participate in enrichment activities, educational visits and wider school life where appropriate.
