I am looking for a reliable, practical and supportive Personal Assistant (PA) to provide assistance with day-to-day tasks and getting out into the community. This role is funded through a Direct Payment.

The role would suit someone who is organised, adaptable, respectful and comfortable working independently while taking direction from the person they are supporting.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and tidying: Hoovering, emptying the dishwasher, making the bed, hanging and folding laundry, taking out bins and recycling, and general household tidying.
  • Grocery shopping: Helping plan grocery shops, putting shopping away, and making occasional trips for snacks and household supplies.
  • Cooking and meal preparation: Helping with batch cooking and meal preparation, including preparing lunches.
  • Social support and accessing the community: Providing transport and practical support when accessing the community, including accompanying me to places where I use a wheelchair and helping navigate accessibility barriers.
  • Errands: Picking up prescriptions, post office trips, collecting supplies, tip runs and other occasional errands.
  • Gardening: Watering plants, keeping the garden tidy, carrying bags of compost and other practical gardening tasks.
  • Odd jobs: Helping with practical jobs around the house.
  • Organisation and planning: Helping create weekly task lists, organise activities and appointments, and with other occasional administrative tasks.
