You will be part of a team working with households presenting to the Housing Options Service who are threatened with homelessness to try and prevent them losing their accommodation, ensuring a comprehensive homelessness prevention service is offered. For those with no accommodation you will assist them with finding new accommodation. You will have a caseload of households that you will be responsible for, working with them to secure the best possible outcome to address their housing needs. You will work closely with other support services to ensure the best outcome for the household.
You will carry out homelessness assessments in accordance with the Homelessness Reduction Act, 2017, carrying out prevention and relief duties and issuing notification letters.
You will work closely with accommodation providers including those in the private sector to increase the supply of properties available to customers of the service.
You will have excellent communication skills and will be able to manage customer expectations, working with customers to resolve their housing need. You will be able to work under pressure in a busy service, managing multiple demands and prioritising your workload to ensure that you meet statutory deadlines.
Interviews, and a short written test, are scheduled to take place week commencing 21/09/2026.
