Retail Project Director to join a growing business based near
Swindon.
You’ll take strategic ownership of high-profile client projects and accounts, working with multinational retail clients, global suppliers and manufacturers to deliver commercial growth, operational excellence and long-term client relationships.
International travel is essential, so a full UK driving licence and valid passport are required.

Key Duties
- Take commercial ownership of key client projects and accounts from development through to delivery.
- Develop account strategies to support client retention, revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Act as the senior point of contact for key clients and build strong, long-term relationships.
- Manage commercial development and pricing of new products and projects with global suppliers and manufacturers.
- Select, manage and develop suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery requirements.
- Oversee product and design development, ensuring projects meet client briefs and are fit for purpose.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling and upselling.
- Monitor KPIs, budgets, revenue and profitability, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Lead client review meetings and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Manage pricing reviews, contract variations, renewals and commercial negotiations.
- Support tenders, new business opportunities and contract mobilisation.
- Identify and manage commercial, contractual and operational risks.
- Prepare forecasts, account plans and performance reports.
- Work closely with design, finance, supply chain, project management and operational teams.
- Ensure projects meet agreed timescales, costs and deliverables.
- Ensure supply chain activities comply with relevant
FSC, EUDR, UKTR and EUTR regulations
Requirements

- Strong track record managing key accounts and delivering revenue and margin growth.
- Extensive experience managing complex client relationships.
- Proven commercial negotiation, tendering and contract management experience.
- Strong supplier and manufacturer management experience.
- Experience in product or project development and global sourcing.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, finance, supply chain and operational teams.
- Experience managing commercial, contractual and operational risk.
- Knowledge of
FSC, EUDR, UKTR and EUTR regulations
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic decision-making abilities.
