We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the role of Mobile Plant Technician in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Duties of the Mobile Plant Technician

  • Perform major and minor repairs on plant machinery at customer sites and dealer locations
  • Carry out PDI works and attachment setup on plant machinery
  • Conduct mobile repair and maintenance tasks
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance based on operational hours and schedules
  • Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the service vehicle
  • Collaborate with sales and repair teams to ensure quality and reliable service delivery
  • Diagnose machine issues, plan repairs, and maintain accurate records
  • Complete necessary documentation, including warranty claims
  • Provide in-house training to trainees and new recruits
  • Uphold health, safety, and compliance standards at all times

Requirements of the Mobile Plant Technician

  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant Machinery Maintenance & Repair
  • Several years’ practical experience post-qualification
  • Full UK driving licence for machinery and vehicle classes
  • Flexibility regarding location and working hours due to the mobile nature of the role
  • Ideally based near Swindon or Gloucester
  • Highly motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently
  • Able to produce high-quality work, communicate effectively, and work towards targets
