Your new role
Reporting into the Finance team, you will support the production of management information, month-end reporting, and wider finance operations across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their accounting knowledge and gain exposure to management accounting duties while working towards a professional qualification.
Your responsibilities will include
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Supporting month-end close activities
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and posting journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with year-end audit requirements
- Processing and allocating cash receipts
- Reconciling customer and supplier accounts
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Supporting payroll administration and timesheet processing
- Producing financial reports, KPI information, and management data
- Assisting with the maintenance of accurate financial records and controls
- Providing ad hoc support to the wider finance team
- What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience working within a finance or accounts environment
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- AAT studies in progress or completed
- Experience supporting management accounts
- Exposure to month-end processes, reconciliations, or journals
- Understanding of financial controls and reporting
