About you
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join the Histopathology service within Swansea Bay University Health Board. You will be a motivated and competent HCPC‑registered BMS with proven experience across core histopathology techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake microtomy, embedding, and routine histological preparation.
- Carry out quality control procedures and maintain high laboratory standards.
- Perform immunohistochemistry using automated platforms.
- Undertake special stains (manual and automated).
Requirements
HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full UK right to work.
Access to Health Assured (mental health and wellbeing support).
First access to shifts with the ability to block book shifts in advance.
