We are seeking a reliable, patient, and supportive Personal Assistant (PA) to assist a 13-year-old girl in safely accessing the community and participating in a variety of leisure activities.
The ideal candidate will be calm, confident, and dependable, with experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or behaviours that may challenge.
The role requires someone who is physically able to help ensure the young person’s safety while out in the community, and who can provide consistent and reliable support.
The PA will be responsible for a range of different tasks.
These include managing challenging behaviour calmly, confidently and safely.
Supporting emotional regulation and helping the child remain engaged in activities.
Encourage positive behavior and participation in activities.
Work in line with agreed behavior support strategies and risk management plans.
Support the child to access the community and leisure activities.
The PA must use clear consistent and literal communication while maintain firm but fair boundaries.
