The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to join our client, a well-established family-run business based in Sutton Coldfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to join a growing manufacturing environment, ensuring products, processes, and documentation meet strict quality, regulatory, and customer standards. Following a successful temporary period, there is the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
The Role
As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing quality assurance and quality control processes across the business. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities
- Supporting Wholesale Qualified Person (WQP) and Deputy Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (Deputy QPPV) duties
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Managing document control, including issuing, tracking, and archiving Batch Production Records (BPRs)
- Working closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved
- Monitoring performance data and producing quality reports
- Conducting internal and third-party quality audits
- Maintaining Health & Safety procedures, including Fire Safety compliance
- Ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Managing stock procedures including quarantine, batch rotation, labelling, release, shrink wrapping, storage, and stock movement
- Handling customer complaints and quality queries via telephone, email, and written communication
- Maintaining accurate quality records using Microsoft Excel and other systems
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business
Requirements
- Previous experience within Quality Assurance or Quality Control
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Internal auditing experience
- Pharmacovigilance or Deputy QPPV experience
Pay & Working Hours
£14.36 - £16.92 per hour (depending on experience)
Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
