Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day? We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers to join our team in St Neots, supporting five individuals who live independently in their own homes.

The people we support lead active lives, and you will be providing person-centred support to help them continue doing the things they enjoy. This includes accessing the local community, going for walks, completing weekly shops, enjoying lunch outings, attending appointments and volunteer placements. Part of the role will also be to support with everyday household tasks such as meal preparation, budgeting, cleaning and laundry.

Although the people we support are very independent, there may occasionally be a need to assist with administering medication and providing light personal care, always promoting dignity, choice and independence.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and passionate about helping people live the lives they choose. Previous care experience is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as you will regularly be supporting people to access their community and attend appointments.

The usual working pattern is 9:00am to 5:00pm on Mondays, 8:00am to 1:30pm from Tuesday to Friday, and alternate weekends as part of the rota. Some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the people we support.

If you're looking for a role where every day is different and you can make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you. Join Mencap and help people live happy, independent and fulfilling lives.

Please note: This position does not meet the minimum salary requirements for a Health and Care visa under the UK Skilled Worker route, as set by the Home Office. Therefore, although Mencap is a licensed sponsor, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are not able to support new visa applications or sponsorship requests for this vacancy.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
