As a Support Worker within our Supported Living and Community Outreach services, you’ll do exactly that, supporting adults with mental health needs and mild learning disabilities to live independently, safely, and with dignity.
A desire to improve people’s lives and willingness to share your time with our customers is all we need from you. This vacancy will be based at either Acorn View or Little Barn Lane, depending on your skills, experience, and service needs, offering variety, development, and the chance to grow your career.
The Services:
- Acorn View: A modern supported living scheme with 16 self-contained flats for adults with mental health needs (some with mild learning disabilities). Support is provided daily from 8am to 8.30pm, offering a stable, recovery-focused environment that promotes independence and personal growth.
- Shared accommodation for 4 individuals with mild learning disabilities and some mental health needs. Each person has their own bedroom with shared communal areas. Support is delivered 24 hours, including sleep-in shifts, helping individuals with daily living, emotional wellbeing, finances, and community access.
Both services operate 7 days a week on a rota basis and include weekend and bank holiday working.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide person-centred support to adults with mental health needs.
- Assist with daily living: cooking, cleaning, personal care & appointments.
- Encourage independence, confidence and recovery.
- Deliver support in line with detailed support plans & risk assessments.
- Promote positive wellbeing and meaningful activity.
- Maintain accurate records and follow all policies & procedures.
- Work collaboratively with families and professionals.
- Use mobility equipment where required.
- Support with medication, health routines, and wellbeing.
- Work flexibly across shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
You’ll be supported by an experienced team and clear policies, while being trusted to work independently and responsibly.
Working Hours:
- Project 1: Shifts are between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm. The service is open 7 days a week and you will work on a rota basis. The role may require assisting another service which is open 24 hours a day and requires a sleep-in shift.
- Project 2: Shifts are between 7.00am and 10.00pm with an additional sleep-in shift. Extra pay for sleep-ins. Rotas include weekends & bank holiday work.

- Willingness to travel to other projects when required.
- A full manual UK driving licence is required unless a disability precludes this.
