The post holder will deputise for the centre manager when required to monitor team expenditure. They will apply the principles of sound financial practice as governed by council procedures.
Contacts:
- The post holder will maintain effective working relationships with other SEND and Social Care professionals, and other council teams in order to deliver a holistic and seamless service.
- Relationships and coordination with other local services, providers and NHS Southwark colleagues relevant to the needs of the individual is also essential.
- The post holder will also maintain effective working relationships with other local community services, specialist teams and the wider community.
Knowledge, including educational qualifications:
- NVQ level 5 in Health and Social Care / SEND teaching qualification (HLA/SEND teaching/ QTS), or a willingness to undertake.
- Knowledge/ understanding of Health & Safety, Safeguarding Children & Adults, MCA, DoLS and PBS.
- Working knowledge of alternative communication systems.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an equivalent setting, with a range of people with disabilities and/or SEND.
- Experience of developing person-centred, SMART outcomes goals/planning, that places a person at the centre of meeting outcomes.
- Experience of contributing to PBS plans and the implementation of the plans.
- Experience of preparing and leading annual reviews, either in ASC or as part of the EHCP process.
