Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude
- Graduate with QTS
- A good quality honours degree or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Physics curriculum at Key stage 3 and 4
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken, written and visual form
- Strong ICT skills used to enhance learning
- The ability to effectively teach Science across the ability range.
- Able to organise work and meet deadlines
- Able to motivate young people and to scaffold / challenge effectively
- Ability to effectively use a variety of assessment and review techniques
- Able to contribute ideas and work as part of a team
- Able to plan sequences of learning effectively based upon strong pedagogical knowledge
Experience
- Has successfully taught Physics to pupils of secondary school age (A / R)
- Evidence of pupil progress (A)
