Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude
- Good quality honours degree in relevant subject and QTS
- Commitment to safeguarding of children
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum at all Key stages
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken, written and visual form
- Strong ICT skills used to enhance learning
- The ability to effectively teach across the ability range.
- Able to organise work and meet deadlines
- Able to motivate young people through high quality relationships
- Ability to effectively use a variety of assessment and review techniques
- Able to contribute ideas and work as part of a team
- Able to plan sequences of learning effectively based upon strong pedagogical knowledge.
Experience
- Has successfully taught Maths to students of secondary school age
- Evidence of student progress
