Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude

• Good quality honours degree in relevant subject and QTS
• Commitment to safeguarding of children
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum at all Key stages
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken, written and visual form
• Strong ICT skills used to enhance learning
• The ability to effectively teach across the ability range.
• Able to organise work and meet deadlines
• Able to motivate young people through high quality relationships
• Ability to effectively use a variety of assessment and review techniques
• Able to contribute ideas and work as part of a team
• Able to plan sequences of learning effectively based upon strong pedagogical knowledge.

Experience

• Has successfully taught Maths to students of secondary school age
• Evidence of student progress
