Role Description
We are looking for a reliable, motivated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to support our cleaning operations across sites in Durham and Sunderland.
This is a part-time, field-based position of a minimum of 15 hours per week, with the majority of hours worked during the evenings.
Flexibility will be required to meet the operational needs of our sites.
The Cleaning Supervisor will oversee day-to-day cleaning operations across assigned locations and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service and supporting our cleaning teams.
Key responsibilities will include
- Supervising and supporting cleaning teams across multiple sites.
- Allocating workloads and ensuring cleaning schedules and specifications are completed.
- Providing absence and holiday cover when required.
- Conducting regular site inspections and quality audits.
- Providing on-the-job training, guidance and support to cleaning staff.
- Monitoring cleaning standards and addressing any areas requiring improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, COSHH requirements and risk assessments.
- Coordinating cleaning products, consumables and equipment.
- Reporting maintenance, equipment or site-related issues.
- Communicating professionally with clients and site contacts regarding service requirements.
- Supporting new starters and ensuring they are trained to the required standard.
- Ensuring cleaning services are delivered efficiently, safely and consistently.
Business mileage will be paid for authorised travel between sites.
This position would suit someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, enjoys supporting and developing cleaning teams, and is comfortable taking responsibility for multiple sites while working independently.
