We are parents of three children, two of whom have additional needs. We require some respite support to help recharge our batteries, so that we can continue to provide a safe and secure home for our family. Therefore, we are recruiting for a 'Family PA', based just outside Stratford upon Avon.

Our son is a full-time wheelchair user with very limited understanding and no verbal skills. Our daughter has autism with specific sensory needs. She is non-verbal and communicates her wants and needs using objects of reference, gestures, and noises. Both children are very engaging with infectious laughs, each with their own unique personalities. Our son loves spending time playing with our family dog, watching Peppa Pig and going for long walks in the countryside. Our daughter loves playing with her sensory toys and books plus spending lots of time playing on the swing and running and jumping around the garden.

The role will be to provide a high level of assistance and stimulation to support our children. Duties will include:

  • Taking the children (separately) on walks.
  • Entertaining and engaging through play, with both indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Assisting parents during feeding times.
  • Providing personal care for both children, including moving our son from chair to floor.
  • Accompanying the family on fun days out and with the occasional doctor/hospital visit.
