The predicted salary is between 13 - 14 £ per hour.

We are looking for a kind, caring, and experienced Personal Assistant/Support Worker to spend quality time with our daughter and support her to enjoy fun and meaningful activities both at home and out in the community. Our daughter uses a wheelchair and is unable to communicate verbally. She is primarily PEG fed, although she does occasionally have some food orally. She also experiences seizures from time to time. Despite her health needs, she is a very happy little girl who loves interaction, attention, and having fun with the people around her.

We are looking for someone who has experience working with children with complex health needs and who is confident, patient, and able to provide a high standard of care while ensuring her safety and wellbeing at all times. Duties may include:

  • Supporting with personal care, including toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, and getting dressed.
  • Supporting with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
  • Supporting the individual to take medication.
  • Supporting the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
  • Assisting and encouraging socialisation, participating in activities.
  • Promoting and encouraging friendships and independence.
  • Developing a good and trusting one-to-one working relationship.

The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and/or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Transport Requirement: Car driver preferred but not essential.
