What You’ll Do

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to support the delivery of a high-quality catering service.
  • Follow established procedures, processes, food safety standards and working practices, escalating issues to management where appropriate.
  • Pick, pack and prepare food and provisions for patient consumption using Saffron Systems, including in-house food preparation.
  • Safely deliver packed food orders to external/regional kitchens using manual handling equipment while working in temperature-controlled environments.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across equipment, freezers and work areas, ensuring all required due diligence and documentation is completed accurately.

What You Bring

  • Previous catering experience preferred, with good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene and an understanding of customer care, health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated and able to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Able to use initiative, respond positively to changing circumstances and adapt quickly to new situations.
