What You’ll Do
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to support the delivery of a high-quality catering service.
- Follow established procedures, processes, food safety standards and working practices, escalating issues to management where appropriate.
- Pick, pack and prepare food and provisions for patient consumption using Saffron Systems, including in-house food preparation.
- Safely deliver packed food orders to external/regional kitchens using manual handling equipment while working in temperature-controlled environments.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across equipment, freezers and work areas, ensuring all required due diligence and documentation is completed accurately.
What You Bring
- Previous catering experience preferred, with good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene and an understanding of customer care, health and safety requirements.
- Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Adaptable, self-motivated and able to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
- Able to use initiative, respond positively to changing circumstances and adapt quickly to new situations.
