Bank Support Worker

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Support Worker to join Landau.

This role focuses on providing person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, helping them develop life skills, independence and confidence while participating in educational, vocational and community activities.

You will promote inclusion, dignity and choice, contributing to a safe, positive and empowering environment where individuals can achieve their goals.

As a Bank Support Worker, you will work flexibly to support individuals within the training centre and community, ensuring care plans, safeguarding and wellbeing requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support in line with individual care and support plans.
  • Work with tutors to identify and deliver tailored support and interventions.
  • Support safe participation in centre-based and community activities.
  • Provide targeted support to help individuals complete tasks and develop skills, confidence and independence.
  • Identify and address barriers to learning and engagement.
  • Support learner portfolios, assessments, reviews and accurate record-keeping where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour management in line with policies.
  • Contribute to creative approaches to engagement and programme delivery.
  • Provide pastoral support, information, advice and guidance to promote progression.
  • Maintain accurate records including daily notes, incident reports and support plans.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding and Confidentiality policies and report concerns promptly.
  • Keep managers and tutors informed of learner progress and liaise with stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Provide 1:1 support in line with personal care plans and risk assessments.
  • Act as key worker for identified learners, promoting engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor health, wellbeing and welfare, including safeguarding requirements.
  • Provide flexible support across the organisation as required.
