Are you a dedicated and motivated Registered Nurse who would like the opportunity to come and work in the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences as part of Salford Care Organisation at the Devonshire Unit Neuro Rehabilitation?
The Devonshire Unit is based in Stockport and will be a part of the Northern Care Alliance from the 1st March 2026. The Devonshire Unit is an 18 bedded Neuro Rehabilitation ward. The nursing team work closely alongside the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that patients are supported through their rehabilitation.
Nursing staff will develop skills such as caring for patients with acquired or traumatic brain injuries alongside spinal patients and patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness. You will be supporting our patients with their ongoing rehabilitation needs and supporting with their complex discharge planning, working alongside our AHP and complex discharge planning colleagues.
You will have the opportunity to develop a number of specialist skills and support patients from the Greater Manchester area. You will be an adult nurse who is able to:
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills;
- Aspire to deliver excellent standards of care;
- Be able to work collaboratively with all members of the MDT;
- Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients and their relatives;
- Be developed by dedicated training professionals.
You’ll have access to a wide range of learning opportunities and state of the art facilities, including seminar rooms, an IT suite, a library, skills labs and an on-site simulation suite. You’ll also have access to CPD to help take your career in the right direction. Be supported to develop the competence and confidence you need as an effective, independent healthcare professional.
You’ll receive a full induction programme, benefit from classroom-based training and clinical skills assessments. Newly qualified nurses will also benefit from our 12 month preceptorship programme supported by our dedicated Practice Development Team. You will also receive support from our senior nursing team and highly specialised nurses.
