An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Support Officer to join a busy housing team supporting vulnerable individuals and helping them to sustain successful tenancies.

Your new role

You will work closely with tenants and partner agencies to provide high-quality housing support, empowering service users to live independently and maintain stable accommodation. This is a varied role where no two days are the same.

  • Provide person-centred housing support to tenants with a range of needs.
  • Assist individuals in developing independent living skills and sustaining tenancies.
  • Support service users with budgeting, benefit applications and accessing relevant services.
  • Conduct regular visits, assessments and support reviews.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies, including health, social work and support providers.
  • Maintain accurate case records and support plans.
  • Identify and manage tenancy-related risks, making referrals where required.
  • Promote positive outcomes and encourage service user engagement.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience with housing support, homelessness, supported housing or tenancy sustainment.
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation and support services.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals and complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritise competing demands.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team.
