About the Role
As Campus Experience and Security Supervisor, you'll play an important role in how students, staff and visitors experience the campus day to day.
You'll be a visible and approachable presence, helping to create an environment that feels safe, well organised and welcoming.
The role combines front-of-house activity with operational, security and administrative responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a key point of contact on campus, providing a professional and inclusive welcome to students, staff, visitors, contractors and industry guests.
- Offer clear information and guidance, helping people navigate campus services and facilities.
- Maintain a visible front‑of‑house presence that contributes to a positive and engaging campus environment.
- Support the secure opening and closing of buildings in line with agreed procedures.
- Monitor and manage access control, ensuring buildings are accessed safely and appropriately.
- Manage visitor sign‑in processes and issue passes in line with health and safety requirements.
- Keep accurate records using visitor, key management and related systems.
- Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuations and routine system checks.
- Identify and elevate any facilities, safety or security concerns.
- Coordinate deliveries, ensuring items are received, logged and distributed appropriately.
- Support ID card services, including processing new requests and replacements.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a front‑of‑house, reception, security or customer‑facing role.
- A calm, approachable manner with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of people.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- Confidence using systems and maintaining accurate records.
- An understanding of health, safety and safeguarding considerations in a public‑facing setting.
- Sound judgement and the ability to work independently within established procedures.
To support campus operations and student activity, our client is recruiting for two part‑time positions (18 hours per week).
The successful candidates will be required to work set shift patterns, including evenings and Saturday working, as follows:
- Post 1: Monday to Wednesday; 3:00pm to 9:00pm.
- Post 2: Thursday and Friday; 3:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday; 8:30am to 2:30pm.
