Clinical lead Neurodevelopmental team | Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Stalybridge

This is a really exciting new position in a new team working on the neurodevelopment assessments for Autism and ADHD for children and young people in Tameside and Glossop. It is based in the Tameside and Glossop CAMHS building and will provide assessments for both Tameside and Stockport children and young people.

The locality Clinical lead for this team will provide clinical leadership and supervision to the team and will carry a reduced caseload in order to fulfil the role.

• To provide clinical leadership, support and supervision to clinical staff.
• To support an identified team of practitioners with advice and guidance on the management of complex clinical cases.
• To work as an integral part of the CAMHS Neurodevelopment assessment Service which will include carrying a small complex caseload.
• To participate in the extended working hours as required by the needs of the service.
• To maintain consistency and quality of care for all service users under the care of CAMHS and support effective and timely discharge.
• To support safe, efficient and effective high-quality transitions in and out of CAMHS.
• To ensure the team works in a collaborative manner with other agencies and partnerships across the service.
• To ensure that clinical standards are monitored and evaluated, and ensure both they and the team provide care of the highest quality to patients.
• To be a visible and pro-active clinical leader and role model within the multidisciplinary team and actively participate in the delivery of clinical issues, including clinical risk assessment.

To provide guidance and support to clinical staff in the management of complex cases.

To provide guidance and support on relevant legislation.

To be responsible for the development and maintenance of effective clinical pathways between CAMHS and other services.

To provide additional leadership and guidance to other team members in risk assessment, risk management and positive problem solving and lead on debriefs following incidents.

Develop confidence and competence within the team for managing complex clinical cases and issues.

To take a lead role in the provision of clinical leadership and structured clinical supervision to the team.

To lead on and ensure that the team undertakes appropriate and in-depth assessments and ongoing intervention, and undertake the duties and responsibilities of an active lead case manager role.
