This is an exciting new post created to offer clinical leadership and expertise to 2 community CAMHS teams in Tameside and Stockport. The post involves offering expertise in working with children and young people presenting to CAMHS with a moderate to severe mental health need and other complexity around neurodiversity and or a Learning disability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing guidance and support to clinical staff in the management of complex cases.
- Providing guidance and support on relevant legislation.
- Being responsible for the development and maintenance of effective clinical pathways between CAMHS and other services.
- Providing additional leadership and guidance to other team members in risk assessment, risk management and positive problem solving.
- Leading on debriefs following incidents.
- Developing confidence and competence within the team for managing complex clinical cases and issues.
- Taking a lead role in the provision of clinical leadership and structured clinical supervision to the team.
- Ensuring that the team undertakes appropriate and in-depth assessments and ongoing intervention.
- Undertaking the duties and responsibilities of an active lead case manager role.

To provide clinical leadership, support and supervision to clinical staff. To support an identified team of practitioners with advice and guidance on the management of complex clinical cases. To work as an integral part of the CAMHS Service which will include carrying a small complex caseload. To participate in the extended working hours as required by the needs of the service. To maintain consistency and quality of care for all service users under the care of CAMHS and support effective and timely discharge. Support safe, efficient and effective high quality transitions in and out of CAMHS. Ensure the team works in a collaborative manner with other agencies and partnerships across the service. To ensure that clinical standards are monitored and evaluated, and ensure both they and the team provide care of the highest quality to patients. To be a visible and pro-active clinical leader and role model within the teams.
