We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at Applewood Lodge, a specialist children's residential home supporting young people with complex emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
As a senior member of the team, you will provide high-quality therapeutic care and support while helping to lead shifts, supervise Residential Support Workers, and ensure the home operates safely and effectively. You will work closely with the management team and take part in the on-call rota with support from experienced managers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead shifts and act as the senior member of staff on duty.
- Support, coach and mentor Residential Support Workers.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of incidents, safeguarding concerns and care documentation.
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and placement reviews.
- Liaise with families, social workers and external professionals.
- Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Participate in the on-call rota and respond appropriately to incidents with management support.
