We're looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Facilities Assistant to join our team at Beacon House, Stafford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied and hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You'll play an important part in creating a safe, welcoming and well‑maintained workplace by supporting the day‑to‑day running of the site. From providing excellent customer service to visitors and colleagues, to coordinating facilities administration, carrying out basic compliance checks and supporting planned maintenance activities, you'll be at the heart of keeping the building operating smoothly. If you're organised, proactive, enjoy helping people and are happy to turn your hand to a variety of tasks, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming visitors and providing a professional front‑of‑house experience
  • Supporting day‑to‑day facilities administration
  • Assisting with meeting room management and workplace coordination
  • Carrying out basic planned compliance checks, including water flushing and fire extinguisher inspections
  • Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and contractor visits
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating compliance documentation
  • Completing first aid training and acting as a designated first aider for the site

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Previous facilities, reception, office support or customer service experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Organised with good administrative abilities
  • Enjoys a varied, hands‑on role
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
  • Has a positive, flexible attitude and enjoys helping others
