• Summary
• Role: Provide high-quality nursing care under the supervision of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, while supporting and mentoring junior staff.
• Clinical

Duties: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; maintain safety and care standards; administer medications including IV; assist in emergencies; keep accurate records.

• Organisational

Duties: Support admissions, discharges, and transfers; maintain a clean and safe environment; monitor stock and resources; contribute to staffing rotas and manage unexpected situations.

• Education & Research: Participate in mandatory and ongoing training; support the development of new and junior staff; engage in audits, evidence-based practice, and small research projects.
• Leadership & Professional

Standards: Lead shifts when required, prioritise workloads, support the multidisciplinary team, adhere to NMC Code, maintain confidentiality, and promote equal opportunities.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Registered Nurse (general) with minimum 12 months T&O experience
• Ability to prioritise workload and provide safe patient care
• Competence in clinical procedures and emergency response
• Willingness to mentor and support junior staff
