I am looking for a friendly, reliable and capable Personal Assistant to support me with some aspects of everyday life. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys being helpful, sociable and able to adapt to different days and situations. A good sense of humour is a must!
The role will include:
- General housework
- Shopping
- Meal preparation
- Accompanying me out and about, including social events, family days out and appointments such as doctors, hospital and dental visits
- Support with general administration and correspondence
I am looking for someone who is confident working independently, can use their own initiative and is flexible when plans change. Medical appointments can occasionally be at weekends, so some flexibility with hours is important. There may also be opportunities to provide additional cover for my other PA and during holidays.
Ideally, you will be an owner-driver with a full, clean driving licence, as this will make accompanying me to appointments and outings much easier. If you are dependable, practical, friendly and enjoy making a positive difference to someone's day, I would love to hear from you.
Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- Good sense of humour
Additional requirements:
- Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
- Vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required. If the role is offered on a self-employed basis, you will be responsible for the cost of your own DBS check. If you are successful in your application for this position, you will be either engaged directly or employed by the individual employer and not by Independent Lives. The role may be offered on an employed or self-employed basis, depending on the suitability and agreement with the employer.
