Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a number of highly supportive and welcoming mainstream primary schools across St Helens. These schools are looking to appoint teaching assistants for long term full time contracts, that subject to funding, will last the full academic year. Due to unprecedented demand we are looking to recruit a number of whole class, 1:1 and SEN teaching assistants for full time long term positions, with temporary to permanent contracts being considered for the right individuals.
Your new role: As a teaching assistant with one of our partnership schools, you will be joining a highly experienced and welcoming team, working in collaboration with teachers and other teaching assistants to encourage the development and engagement of pupils within your class. You will support all aspects of learning to encourage engagement and positive learning outcomes as well as building strong constructive relationships with all pupils.
- 1:1 and small group interventions in all core subjects (numeracy, literacy, phonics, etc)
- Implementing a myriad of positive behaviour strategies
- 1:1 SEN support if you are a SEND specialist
- Guided reading and writing including scaffolding and story recall
