Are you an experienced Registered Care Manager looking to lead a well-established domiciliary care service?

We're recruiting an ambitious and passionate Registered Care Manager to oversee a successful home care service delivering approximately

700 care hours per week across St Albans and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager who enjoys developing teams, maintaining outstanding quality standards and driving business growth.

You'll be responsible for the overall leadership, compliance and commercial performance of the service, ensuring clients receive safe, responsive and person-centred care while supporting the continued growth of the business.

The Role

As the Registered Care Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the domiciliary care service, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, maintaining high standards of care, supporting your office team and carers, and developing strong relationships with clients, families and local healthcare professionals.

You will play a key role in growing the service while maintaining excellent quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold CQC registration as the Registered Manager for the domiciliary care service.
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of a service delivering approximately

700 care hours per week .

  • Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing team of Care Coordinators, Field Care Supervisors and Care Assistants.
  • Ensure safe, effective and person-centred care is delivered to every client.
  • Monitor and improve service quality through audits, spot checks, observations and quality assurance visits.
  • Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation and employment law.
  • Manage care package allocations, staffing levels and service capacity.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, NHS professionals, commissioners and community stakeholders.
  • Oversee care assessments, reviews and risk assessments.
  • Investigate complaints, incidents and safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage budgets, KPI performance and financial targets.
  • Support business development by increasing care hours and maintaining excellent client satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement across compliance, quality and operational performance.

About You

We're looking for an experienced care leader who combines operational excellence with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional home care.

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards completion).
  • Strong knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing care teams and office-based staff.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing rotas, care packages and service growth.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience managing services delivering 500+ hours of care per week.
  • Good understanding of local authority and NHS commissioned services.
  • Experience growing domiciliary care hours and developing community partnerships.
  • A track record of achieving Good or Outstanding CQC inspections.
