Duties of the MET Technician:
- Conduct mechanical and bodywork repairs on allocated vehicles
- Perform dismantling, fault-finding, diagnostics, and re-assembly operations
- Replace parts as necessary and carry out vehicle inspections and testing
- Identify faults and safety concerns, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Carry out road tests in a safe and legal manner to verify vehicle roadworthiness
- Maintain high standards of quality, attention to detail, and communication throughout all tasks
Requirements of the MET Technician:
- Proven experience as an MET Technician within a professional accident repair environment
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostics, dismantling, and re-assembly skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately to high standards
- Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- Multi-tasking capability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
- ATA qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred but not essential
