Come and join the High Peak Stroke and Neurology Team providing specialist intervention in community settings within an MDT. This is a very exciting time to join our service as you will be working alongside the newly developed ESSD team for the High Peak. The two teams will be able to support and develop the services for the area together.

Our team focus is on the rehabilitation of patients with Stroke and Neurological long-term conditions, it is essential that you have a keen interest and some experience in this field. You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to plan and organise competent, evidence-based clinical care. We will provide you with a supportive environment to develop your skills and experience.

Our evolving service has a strong emphasis on high quality, evidence-based care, teamwork and staff well-being. We welcome applications from those already at Band 6 and also current Band 5 OTs with relevant experience, knowledge and skills who are looking to develop into a Band 6 role.

You will be required to travel to reach patients in the community and you must be able to access transport. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is committed to rehabilitation for stroke and progressive neurological disorders.

You will be required to:

  • Provide specialist Occupational Therapy Assessments and treatment for adults presenting with a variety of stroke and neurological conditions both acute and progressive.
  • Provide specialist intervention, frequently as a lone practitioner, in the home of the patient.
