Specialist Clinical Psychologist | West London NHS Trust

This is a full-time Band 7 post in the Neuro-developmental and Learning Disability team (NDLD, 1.0 WTE) in Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F) CAMHS.

The post-holder will join a well-established experienced large and thriving multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in the NDLD team. They will be provided with high-quality clinical psychology supervision from a Clinical Psychologist and attend team meetings and case discussions within the NDLD team. The NDLD team is embedded within the wider Hammersmith and Fulham CAMHS, which also consists of the Adolescent team, Children and Families team and the Tier 2 Community CAMHS team. The H&F CAMHS service is a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team based at 48 Glenthorne Road, London W6 0LS.

In addition, the post-holder will join the thriving psychology team based within H&F CAMHS. There will be good opportunities for CPD and development within the team and trust and also externally and there are weekly academic sessions alongside several other supports. We are looking for a skilled, hard-working and enthusiastic psychologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality and effective services to children and young people and their families.

The post-holder will offer specialist psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments (including cognitive assessments and ADHD and ASD assessments), and psychological interventions and support to children, young people and their families presenting with neurodevelopmental difficulties (such as ADHD and ASD) and/or Learning Disabilities and comorbid emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties in H&F CAMHS.

They will work closely alongside other MDT members and multi-agency colleagues (offering advice and consultation where appropriate), such as social workers, speech and language and occupational therapists and education colleagues to deliver a high-quality service to children and their families in the CAMHS clinic, specialist and mainstream schools, social care and community settings and carry out home visits as appropriate. Additionally, the post-holder will adhere to following evidence-based practice where appropriate, using suitable clinical outcome measures, and will support service user participation within the service. They will also be part of the Duty and Urgent Slot rota within the team.

The post-holder will also be responsible for the clinical supervision and line management of any pre-qualified psychologists or psychological professionals within the team. They will also contribute to clinical governance and service development.
