University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us. We are looking for highly motivated Staff Nurses, who have experience in a ward setting, to join our nursing team on E3 Green.
We are a 24 bedded ward that specialises in caring for both cardiology and cardiac surgery patients, which gives staff the opportunity for a wide-ranging experience of caring for patients with heart disease. Our team works in collaboration with E3 Blue, our neighbouring ward, having a combined leadership and senior team, which means you have a wide support network. We receive patients directly from Cardiac High Dependency (CHDU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), as well as elective cases and transfers from other hospitals.
Our education, training and development team works alongside individuals and teams in practice during core hours as required. Formal teaching sessions and study days are available as is advice on academic pathways and career planning. Our team is passionate about education and will coach new starters, promoting staff development and career progression.
