We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Dermatology/Allergy Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse with a passion for specialist care, patient education, and service development within dermatology and allergy services. The successful candidate will provide high-quality specialist nursing care for patients with a range of dermatological and allergic conditions, supporting both outpatient and inpatient services. You will work collaboratively with consultants, allied health professionals, and primary care teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care.

Main Duties of the Role

  • Deliver specialist assessment, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with dermatology and allergy conditions
  • Provide nurse-led clinics and patient follow-up support
  • Offer education and advice to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Support biologic therapies, patch testing, eczema management, urticaria pathways, and allergy care where appropriate
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team working and service improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to audit and quality improvement activities
  • Support junior staff and contribute to teaching and mentorship within the department

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Significant post-registration experience within dermatology, allergy, immunology, or related specialty
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
  • Experience in patient education and clinical assessment
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, infection prevention, and clinical governance
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or in nurse-led clinics
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification or willingness to undertake training
  • Experience with biologic therapies and allergy testing
  • Leadership or mentorship experience
