We're looking for compassionate and motivated Night Senior Care Assistants who lead by example, enjoy mentoring others and are passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care throughout the night.
About the Role
As a Night Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting residents while assisting the Night Care Team Leader in leading the night care team to deliver safe, compassionate and responsive care.
You'll be trusted with additional responsibilities including medication administration, overseeing the delivery of care throughout the night, reviewing care plans and providing guidance and support to colleagues, ensuring every resident receives the highest standard of care.
You'll help maintain a calm, safe and reassuring environment, responding to residents' changing needs while ensuring the home is prepared for the day ahead.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs and preferences throughout the night.
- Assist the Night Care Team Leader in leading, supporting and coordinating the night care team, ensuring care is delivered safely, effectively and compassionately.
- Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents, ensuring care plans are implemented, reviewed and updated appropriately.
- Safely administer medication and maintain accurate medication records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Complete regular resident wellbeing and safety checks, responding promptly to call bells, incidents and changes in residents' physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Review, update and contribute to individual care plans to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.
- Mentor, support and develop less experienced colleagues, promoting best practice and maintaining high standards across the night team.
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, escalating concerns appropriately and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, emergency services, on-call managers and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain the highest standards of dignity, respect and confidentiality for every resident.
- Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration and repositioning while promoting independence wherever possible.
- Help prepare the home for the day ahead, ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control, Safeguarding and all relevant health and social care legislation.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the General Manager.
About You
- Holds, or is working towards, an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Has previous experience working as a Care Assistant within a residential or nursing environment.
- Is confident administering medication and maintaining accurate records.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues.
- Demonstrates compassion, professionalism and attention to detail.
- Can work effectively as part of a busy team while remaining calm under pressure.
- Is committed to delivering exceptional resident care every night.
- Working Pattern
You will work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off.

- Full Time Nights β 8:00pm β 8:00am (Average 42 hours per week)

- Nights: Β£15.88 per hour
