Our client, a well-established independent garage on the outskirts of Southampton, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join their team.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester

  • Perform servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on all vehicle makes and models
  • Conduct MOT tests in line with current regulations
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults efficiently
  • Work collaboratively with experienced technicians to ensure high standards of work
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry technologies and best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements of Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester

  • NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification; Level 2 qualified technicians and time-served Mechanics are encouraged to apply
  • MOT Tester qualification is preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience in diagnostics, fault-finding, and vehicle repairs
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
