University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us. We're looking for an Associate Digital Project Manager to join our Digital Programmes team and help deliver digital change across University Hospital Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to help improve services for patients and staff through the successful delivery of digital projects and initiatives. The role supports the planning and delivery of small digital projects while also contributing to larger programmes that drive transformation across the Trust.

Working with clinical, operational and technical teams, you'll help coordinate project activities, manage plans, risks and reporting, engage stakeholders and support the implementation of new digital solutions. You'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from early project development and feasibility through to delivery and benefits realisation, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our project management practices.

Reporting to a Digital Project Manager you'll work closely with colleagues across the Digital team, clinical services, operational teams, third-party suppliers and other stakeholders across the Trust. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, motivated and keen to develop their project management career while making a tangible difference to healthcare services through digital innovation.

As an Associate Digital Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of small digital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and deliver agreed benefits.
  • Support larger digital programmes by coordinating project activities, maintaining plans, managing risks and producing reports for stakeholders and governance groups.
  • Work closely with clinical, operational, technical and supplier teams to support the successful implementation of digital solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, standards and documentation within the Digital Programme Management Office.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of supporting or delivering projects through the full project lifecycle using recognised project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience of creating, maintaining and reporting on project plans, risks, issues and other project documentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present information clearly and work effectively with a wide range of people.
  • A recognised project management qualification at foundation level, or equivalent knowledge and experience, together with a passion for digital transformation and continuous improvement.
